Last week a small delegation of secondary and high school students represented Horizon International Bilingual School at the Hanoi city 2019 Table Tennis Championships to great success. All of our players did both themselves and the school proud, not only by playing superbly, but by displaying an excellent sense of sportsmanship and camaraderie.
As far as results went, we saw Secondary School District Champions, Kim Do Yu (U13) and Duong Minh Phuc (U15), both place in their age group’s top 32 category citywide. In the High School Open Division, Nguyen Huu Gia Bach and Ryo Hyun Woo, both competed in an incredibly competitive, team based round-robin with Gia Bach managing to win 3 out of his 4 singles matches. This ranks him within the top 16 school-aged players in Hanoi- an impressive achievement indeed.
Needless to say, we are all undeniably proud of these young men and their accomplishments. We can’t wait to see what they will be capable of in the many tournaments to come.
