Horizon Bilingual International Ho Chi Minh City Campus organized “Science Week” extra-curricular activity between 29th January and 2nd February, 2018. Students had discovered scientific facts in life with fun games and competitions. The whole week was filled with fun activities, games and competitions. From primary to high school all students showed a great interest in the activities. Apart from activities by the contribution of our students, physics, biology and chemistry demonstrations were presented. Students drew, painted and constructed their own posters, models and cars to compete with each other.

Posters and 3D model competitions added a different and colorful atmosphere to the week. The egg drop, mouse trap car and toothpick bridge competitions were so exciting and created a competitive atmosphere in the school. The most impressive competition was the impossible ladder. Almost all students in our campus, including our teachers, tried to climb the impossible ladder to win surprise gifts. The remote control car competition brought our campus Formula-1 style excitement.

Games and demonstrations provided practice opportunities of their science knowledge that they had already learnt in their science classes. Students were so happy and appreciative especially after winning candies and chocolates.

The following Monday, an awards ceremony was held to congratulate students on their participation and by awarding them achievement certificates. Apart from the certificates, winners of the competitions got prizes for their outstanding effort and performance. At the ceremony, our science teachers and some others who participated in competitions were also honored for their precious contributions to the science week organization.
