Horizon International Bilingual School organizes Math Week annually in its aim to make and keep Mathematics approachable and engaging to all of our students. In other words, to encourage and inspire our students towards raising public awareness of the importance of Mathematics.
This year’s Maths Week was held on 12- 16 of March and featured a wide variety of activities not only for students and teachers, but also for parents and guests.
The celebration involved mathematical challenges such as Make it 24 and Daily Questions for students of different levels to answer. Drawing with Numbers allowed the students to showcase their creativity and skills in the visual arts just as Maths Stories got their imagination and words onto paper.
The highlights of the week were the Maths Fair where students themselves explained and demonstrated the application of mathematics in daily life and the extremely exciting Kahoot Competition where our very own Principal, Mr. Vugar Babayev, validated his title as a mathematician and School Principal, winning 1st place in the quiz show! Math is simply fun!
