The HIBSAL contest on reading comprehension of selected primary students was held during the 1st period on October 29, 2019. Primary students from competing houses participated in the event to showcase how well they understood the story they have read for the past 3 weeks. Secondary students who trained the upper primary students are also excited as they escorted their mentees to the venue. During the event, the atmosphere of the venue has changed as the participants started answering the mind-boggling questions prepared by the administration team led by Ms. Marian Jewel Therese R. Quizon. The event was strictly supervised by Ms. Quizon and Mr. Jambayev, Academic Coordinator for International Program and Character Education Coordinator respectively. The event tests not only the comprehension level of the participants but also their understanding of responsibility as well. Students who finished earlier were given the chance to review their answers and submit them to the committee afterward. The support coming from the House Coaches and other teachers amplified the confidence of the participants to choose the best answer to the questions.
