Math Challenge

Students from grades 4 and 5 were invited to join in the challenge which tests their mathematical skills

The first Math Challenge happened in the middle of the day on the 9th of October. Students from grades 4 and 5 were invited to join in the challenge which tests their mathematical skills. The said activity was participated by 11 grade 4 students and 9 grade 5 students having a total of 20 participants. The activity was organized by the Math Society - a group of students from grade 9 - with the guidance of Mathematics teachers. The game is to solve mathematical problems in order to solve the puzzle known as “TARSIA”. Participants were grouped into 5 where each group was guided by one grade 9 student. The first Math Challenge caught the attention of other students from different levels to observe the event. The Mathematics Department was overwhelmed by the success of the first-ever Math Challenge in HIBS. The Department Head, Mr. Azat, is looking forward to the succeeding Math Challenges.
