PARENTS MEETING At the beginning of the academic year 2019- 2020

Time: the meeting took place at 8:00am for secondary –high school and 9:00am for primary school on Saturday, 24th Aug, 2019 at Horizon International Bilingual School. 

Participants: Board of Principals, Homeroom teachers and parents. Report: There are 80% of parents coming and attending the meeting for secondary-high school and there are 90% for primary school. For parents who cannot attend on that day, the school will arrange another meeting day due on parents’ convenience.

The meeting content: There are two homeroom teachers in a class (Vietnamese and foreigner teacher). That’s why the meeting divided into two parts:

For Vietnamese homeroom teachers’ role: teachers informed to parents about general information of school and class; the orientation in the new school year. Parents chose and voted for the head of parents in class, then head of class’s parents will choose and establish a group of Head of school’s parents.  

For expat homeroom teachers’ role: teachers informed to parents about software or applicants which are necessary for teaching and studying. Learning by laptop or tablets can help students be accessible to new learning methods of international students. That study strategy is necessary for learning program in Viet Nam that Department of Education and Training in Ho Chi Minh city is guiding  to Vietnamese students.
