The sky is crying in today’s weather but it didn’t stop the students from learning. Everyone has started their day with a healthy and scrumptious meal prepared by the school. This gives them sufficient energy to deal with their school-work ahead. As the students ended their meals, they were escorted to the conference room for the University Visit. The remaining minutes before the beginning of the program were used by the students to socialize with others, a sign of a good school atmosphere for the students.
The program has started immediately at around 9:15 in the morning as Mr. Nariman Jambayev (Character Education Coordinator) handed the microphone to Mr. Farash. The latter enlightened the students by asking questions such as “why university is important?” and “how do students get involved with them?”. He also challenged the students when he asked them where to study and what to study? Many innocent faces have been displayed in the conference room, an indicator that there are still many students who have not made a firm decision as to what to take in the future. This is one of the reasons why HIBS exposes their students early for them to reflect and analyze their decision because their future will be at stake.
A total of 11 universities were invited to encourage the students to study in their schools. Representatives from different universities flew for about 8000 miles to present the programs offered by their respective universities as they handed booklets to students that shows the overview of their school programs. The session has become more productive when all students were allowed to ask questions to their preferred school.
The following are the universities invited to give their talks namely Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Full Sail University, IOWA State University, Marymount California University, Roger Williams University, University of Pennsylvania, University of Connecticut, The University of Kansas, University of Kentucky, University of Wisconsin Whitewater, and Wenthworth Institute of Technology.
