International Culture Day and Charity Bazaar 2019

Horizon International Bilingual School had organized the Charity Bazaar and Cultural Day 2019 last

March 30 in its HCMC campus. Hundreds of people from all walks of life, including families and friends

graced the occasion to support its objectives – to promote the virtue of compassion amongst ourselves

and raise fund in order to provide assistance for others who are in need.

Parents, teachers, and students had gathered to make this event a successful one. Booths were

designed with great colors and cultural decors representing various countries to attract guests.

Sumptuous food came in with different packaging. A lot of great performances were held on stage. There

was car racing for kids in the gym while others have had a great time taking photos of themselves in a

traditional costume.

Mr. Ferhat, Vice-principal for school operations spearheaded the auction including the signature Saigon

Heat Jersey and lot more. “This is more than meets the eye”, said Mr. Bilici, Head of the Character

Education.

One happy parent exclaimed: “There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way

to make life beautiful for others.” Even the students were so excited about the event. Andy of grade 8

explains: “I cannot do all the good that the world needs. But the world needs all the good that I can do.” I

am reaching my goal through this charity bazaar, he added.

The bazaar had raised a sum of 200,000,000 VND. The School Administration under Mr. Dursun’s

leadership with Fatherland are eyeing for two schools in Binh Chanh district to benefit from this event.
