Horizon International Bilingual School organized a Charity Bazaar and Cultural Day on March, 30th, 2018.
Each class within the school represented one country, highlighting information about the cuisine, traditional clothes, etc... The aim of this event was to increase the awareness of the HIBS students to know more about countries around the world.
As you may have been notified on a regular basis throughout the year that each month a character trait is studied at Horizon to build character values. For the month of March our moral topic was generosity and sharing. In order to keep in line with the moral topic, HIBS teachers and students decided to organize a charity bazaar to raise funds at the school to donate to our chosen charity.
The organization of the Charity Bazaar and Cultural Day at Horizon International Bilingual School is a very meaningful undertaking. From the perspective of the visitors, we see the school's event as very useful for students. The first is to contribute to the moral ethics of the students. They directly had made the products to sell for donations. They will understand the value of labor, will know how to love, can empathise with the difficult circumstances within society, and learn about compassion. Secondly, they have the opportunity to expand their understanding of the culture of other countries. This is very useful for students in the future. It is hoped this festival will be held annually by the Horizon International Bilingual School.
