The preparation of the students for the Vietnamese Teacher’s Day was made a day before the big event. Students from different grade levels have prepared performances that they showcased in front of their teachers. The efforts and patience of teachers were paid off with the stunning talents of their students. Not only to provide entertainment but showcasing their performance also show gratitude and respect to their beloved teachers The program begins at 9:30 in the morning at the school’s ground where everyone gathered to witness the presentations made by the students. It started with the voices of selected graded 10 and 11 students as they serenaded the teachers with a stunning mashed-up song entitled “One Day by Matisyahu”. It was then followed by the angelic voices of grade 9 students as they offered a song that is common to many entitled “Memories by Maroon 5”. The celebration didn’t stop as another surprising dance performance was made by the grade 2 students with the tune of “Thanks to you by Tyler Collins” lead by Ms. Jewel Quizon. The program made it more entertaining as the kindergarten students showcased their dancing skills on stage. Another surprise for teachers was made the grade 12 students as they announced different awards to all teachers, such awards like IXL Master, Creativity teacher, Teacher with a Smile, Jasmine of HIBS, Ms. Lazada, The Who Are You Teacher and many more. Such recognitions were truly appreciated by the teachers which is evident to their smiles. It was then followed by a film showing where the Character Education Coordinator, Mr. Naryman Jambayev, led the students to the conference hall to view the projects of different houses on the recent “Responsibility Filmmaking Contest”. Students had their scrumptious lunch in the dining hall after watching while the teachers had their hot-pot style lunch prepared by the administration team in Villa 2. Performances during the lunch were also showcased by teachers as they have Karaoke which unleashes their stress for the past few weeks of working hard. The celebration ended with a gift-giving for the teachers and group photo-ops. The program is a big celebration which happened not only in HIBS but also to all schools in Vietnam. Teachers who joined in the celebration went home with smiles.
