Horizon International Bilingual School organized language week for Vietnamese and English students. This is an annual activity to help students of 3 levels from Primary to High School exchange experiences, creations, and enrich language and cultural knowledge in the bilingual learning environment.

“Hello Vietnamese, thanks Vietnamese” is the topic of Vietnamese language week. Students have re-imagined Vietnamese space through the image of Hoi An ancient town, shady village road, Banyan trees, water landing, and the village gate.

Students were excited when they joined the quiz show activities with small gifts to embed in their memory about folk literature such as “answering the puzzle”, “fill in the proverb and folk verses”, telling traditional stories, dancing traditional dances, or talking about Vietnamese writers. Many students answered well and received big gifts from the Organization Board.

Students were attracted with the traditional games such as jump the rope, ô ăn quan, cướp cờ, and tug of war. They were very active, clever, engaged in teamwork, and were responsible throughout all games. The joy of winning broke out and there were tears in their eyes.

The students participated in the game, and the teachers in the organization understood the meaning of each activity. Students were happy, healthy, and clever in every situation, and learned about the knowledge of literature of the country. We, as the teachers, always hope they will not only integrate internationally, but also appreciate the beauty of Vietnamese and Vietnamese culture.

“Teacher, we would like to play more. So happy!” We brought the clear sound from the joy from the students!
