The grade 10 students gained hands-on experience with some of the biomolecules. They experimented on some food products and tested them for the presence of sugars and starch. They also investigated on the evidence of proteins in food using the Biuret Test. The ethanol emulsion test for fats and oils was also accomplished. This laboratory experiment aimed to enhance students' understanding of specific scientific facts and concepts and develop scientific reasoning. The 10th grade had a blast learning about these biomolecules.
