Basketball Tournament

Horizon International Bilingual School organized a basketball tournament for Secondary and High school students from 21st November to 29th November 2016.

With the purpose of creating a healthy environment for students to relax & enjoy after strenuous classes, prolonged lessons; and to seek students with hidden talents to join the School's basketball team and participate in various District and City tournaments, Sports Department and Character Education Department of  Horizon International Bilingual School organized a basketball tournament for Secondary and High school students from 21st November to 29th November 2016.

 

There were two groups as Secondary and High School and four teams in each group. In group stages, each team played with each other and the teams which came first and second in their groups played the final. All the games were very tough for the teams and very entertaining for the ones who watched them.

 

After group stages matches in the High School Section the "Team 4" formed by Jae Wan (Grd 11), Manuel (Grd 10) and Mr. Enes (Assistant Teacher) came first by winning all their three group stage matches and and "Team 1" formed by Hea Chan (Grd 12), Viet Anh (Grd 10) and Mr. Azat (Math Teacher) came second with 2 wins and 1 defeat and they were qualified to play the final game.

 

Meanwhile, in the secondary section, Grade 8 Class team team formed by Duy Minh, John, Mahmoud and Dat came first with 3-0 winning record and Grade 6 Class team formed by Muhammad, Salah, Mingu, Danh Minh and Gassan came second with 2 wins and 1 defeat and they played the final game. After very tough games "Team 4" in the High School won the tournament with 10-9 score over "Team 1" and in the Secondary School Grade 8 team won the tournament with a win over Grade 6 team with a score of 14-10. The winners and the runners up of the each sections got their rewards and certificates.


We would like to thank all the players once again for putting their utmost efforts and  sticking to the sportsmanship regardless of a loss or a win. We also would like to thank everybody who watched the games and gave their supports to the teams.
