Each student had an opportunity to give a speech during campaigns which lasted for 1 week. This was a chance for them to display why they would be suitable for the student council and how they could make a difference in the school.
Students and teachers then gathered at the end of the week to cast their voting. The first 6 students who received the highest number of votes, as a result of the approval of the school administration, were eligible to be in the management of the student council. Among them, the Grade 12 student Seo Donghyun, who received the most votes, was elected as a president, grade 12 student Yang Hyeji as an International Advisor, and Grade 9 student Phan Tuan Minh as a Bilingual Advisor. Our other 3 students with the most votes were:
Elected members of Student Council with some memebers of the admin team of Horizon.
Grade 11 Jeong Sunghan
Grade 10 Faizha Labake Fele
Grade 9 Nguyen Phuong Bao Anh
After the elections, in-class voting took place for class representatives per each grade. As a result of the voting made by the classes within themselves, 1 class representative from each class was elected and our Student Council of 13 members was completed. The class representatives are:
Grade 6 Phan Tuan Kiet
Grade 7 Nethaji Vaishanth
Grade 8 Jeong Seokyoon
Grade 9 Tran Hanh Minh
Grade 10 Cho Yena
Grade 11 Kim Jueun
Grade 12 Pham Duc Minh
President of the Student Council was at Quang Tri for flood donation.
The very first project of the student council was to get involved in the charity project in central Vietnam with the school administration. We look forward to seeing them more actively involved in the next activities and projects.
We thank all of our students and teachers who participated in the voting. And also congratulations to our students who were selected to the student council.
