/Hanoi. Teachers at Horizon International Bilingual School, Hanoi, gathered together on-campus for their second professional development this term while maintaining social distancing.
Staff divided into different rooms while taking part in a series of virtual online workshops to help better their understanding of AtlasNext. AtlasNext representatives collaborated with Horizon staff to ensure they use our new learning platform to the best of its abilities. A main focus was on how to organize assessments and ensure students’ progress is being monitored efficiently.
Staff were then inspired with a lightning talk by new Art & Design teacher, Elena Rico. Elena expressed the importance of making learning fun and asked teachers to reflect on their own teaching practices, especially at a time when we are restricted to online teaching. This was an engaging presentation that left teachers hopeful and motivated.
The day ended with a speech from head of school, Noah Park, and school principal, Mr. Faridin, who both expressed their gratitude to all of the staff for their hardwork during difficult times. This was followed by an awarding ceremony where teachers were presented with certificates for taking part in the training day. We look forward to our next professional development where we can integrate together to share ideas and inspiration with our fellow coworkers!
