/Hanoi Horizon International Bilingual School Hanoi joined together to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival on Tuesday, September 21st. This occasion gave the whole school a chance to unite together online since we can’t be together in-person.
The event not only celebrated the joyful children’s festival, but also highlighted the diversity of cultures and talents amongst all of our students and staff at Horizon. Primary and Kindergarten students had been working hard for the upcoming event: making lanterns, stars, and mooncakes, decorating fruit and dancing along to festive music. The whole campus chose to pause for a moment to listen to each of the younger students explain what the Mid-Autumn Festival is and what it means to them through a heartfelt video compilation.
We then watched a slideshow sharing footage from last year’s event where staff and students from each house competed in on-stage performances and traditional games filled with laughter and rivalry. To finish the event off, over 200 participants joined our online quiz to test our knowledge on the cultural event. This gave everyone a chance to have some fun together since we couldn’t be in our courtyard to celebrate this year.
We are sending love, happiness and good-health to our Horizon family during this festive period and hope to see you all very soon.
