Bugs are naturally fascinating, so to speak. Early childhood is just the right time to start developing respect and curiosity for the natural world.
As a Science teacher, I wanted my students to have a sense of excitement and wonder about nature. I wanted them to know, too, that everything in nature is pretty, and it is all interesting. With a little practice and research we could find a lot of exotic things about snails and their habitat.
We captured creatures then we explored their natural habitats within our school grounds.Students’ most important task about this project was providing a habitat for the snails in which they could thrive in our school garden.
